What people are saying about The Shard
The Shard was easy to locate from Liverpool Street Station. We were met outside by a member of staff who informed us where to go. It was 12 noon & no queen. Lifts are quick & smooth we soon found ourselves on 72nd floor. View's were amazing the City looks fantastic from above. You can stay as long as you wish we also went down to 69th floor where there is a bar. We took many photos & left after about 1.30. The Shard staff took photos of us on way in & presented us with a wonderful hard covered album on leaving. This you could purchase if required, I am glad we did. This whole experience is so worthwhile & value for money. I am sure everyone will enjoy it.
The views from the Shard at night are incredible, and well worth seeing. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. However the security staff nearly spoiled our visit by being rude, condescending and very unhelpful. I realise they have an important role, but that is no excuse to talk to people like they are common criminals. However apart from that the experience was good and I would recommend it to others.
An amazing building and a must see there can be nothing else that completes for a view of London. My teenage daughter loved it! I wiuld recommend doing the River Rocket rib ride first in the afternoon tgen the Shard as the sunsets. We did it this way abd it worked brilliantly. The guys on the fast rib ride are funny entertaining and the boats are fast! Highly recommended!
The view from the Shard was wonderful. Fairly busy, and lots of people ‘camping’ beside the windows as that’s the only way to ensure a good viewing sesh. Not sure why this packaging included the phrase ‘champagne optional’ - there’s no offer here, it’s just available to purchase at the bar with all the other beverages.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful, didn't really feel the lift move, although experienced slight pressure in ears, walking out to the viewing area was a bit unnerving but very exciting, weather was good so could see for miles, it was fun trying to pick out famous landmarks. Great experience full stop.
