Full description
After pickup from select Sydney CBD hotels, you’ll head straight for a hearty, 3-course breakfast to start your day off right. Then, via the beautiful and historic towns of Leura and Katoomba, you’ll arrive at the sweeping views of the Jamison and Kedumba valleys. Gazing at the 3 Sisters rock formation, your guide will explain the rich significance that the formation holds to Australia’s indigenous population.

At this point, you’ll have the option to participate in a 1.5-hour walk, or to take a set of cable cars for incredible views of Katoomba Falls, vast sandstone cliffs, and the world's steepest passenger train. Afterwards, you’ll head to a local, family-owned sweets company for some well-deserved tastings. Continuing onwards into the region, you’ll capture inspiring views of the Megalong and Grose valleys, pausing to enjoy a progressive chef-inspired lunch en route.

Venturing further into the mountains, you’ll enter the pastoral beauty of Bilpin, a scenic farming region known for its apple production. Pick your own fruit and/or nuts, as well as taste apple pie and alcoholic and non-alcoholic cider. As you head back towards Sydney, keep your eyes peeled for kangaroos, parrots, and if you’re lucky, cute koala bears. Passing through the historic Richmond region, you’ll hop on a relaxing, 12-mile cruise back to the city, with drop-off at either Darling Harbour or Circular Quay.

My sister and I had a lovely time on our Blue Mountains tour! Although it was raining all day (quite a surprise!) Jason did a great job adjusting our schedule and making sure that we still had a great time. His hiking map around the Scenic World was really helpful for us (and for others) and his recomended hike was beautiful! The places we stopped on the tour had delicious cider/food/desserts/chocolate were all delicious and allowed us the opportunity to check out local places and support them.
