Full description
Start your guided hiking adventure from the information desk of Piazza San Vincenzo. Depart 2 hours before sunset to admire the spectacular beauty along the side of the "Sciara del Fuoco." After a short briefing, hike to the highest observation point, at an altitude of 400m above sea level, reachable only accompanied by qualified volcanological guides.

During the first 2 hours of trekking take 2 or 3 intermediate breaks to enjoy the view and, if you prefer, have the opportunity to capture the natural beauty of this wonderful landscape. Visit the old island cemetery and cross the typical Mediterranean bush.

Upon reaching "Sciara del Fuoco", admire the spectacular "Strombolian" activity typical of the volcano. Finally, return to the starting point by crossing the typical Strombolian reed beds and the old mule track leading up to the crater.

Sensational activity with a stromboli at the top of its form very lucky to have seen it hyperactive. only downside is that it was difficult to get into the slow general pace of the group. Wouldn't it be possible to make groups by level? As for the nice guide but we were disappointed that he did not communicate more in French with us knowing that we had requested it. We understand that the language chosen is the majority of the group, but he could have made the effort to speak a little French in private. It is kind of a shame...

Mount Doom

Fire and brimstone have rained upon us, we have seen the eye of Sauron, we have felt the struggles of Frodo when he had to climb the Mount Doom. But seriously, it was definitely worth it. Professional and very friendly guides, especially big up to Max! We experienced significant volcanic activity on the summit almost every ten minutes. Overall very well organized hike, cannot recommend more.

C était très bien mais nous n'avons pas pu monter tout en haut à cause des explosions de début juillet. A recommander. Les explosions de nuit sont superbes et les enfants ont été ravis.
