Full description
Experience the grandeur of the Russian Baroque palace of Catherine the Great and unlock the secrets of the Amber Room – one of the world’s wonders. In the afternoon, discover Peterhof - St. Petersburg's most famous and spectacular Imperial estate.

Located on the sea shore, the Great Palace and park complex of Peterhof with its unique array of fountains is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world.

Afterwards, discover the gorgeous Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the second largest mosaic museum in the world. The Amber Room of the Catherine Palace is a chamber decorated with amber panels, gold leaf, and mirrors. Originally created in the 18th century, the panels disappeared during WWII. In 2003 the panels were recreated and the Amber Room reconstructed.

Step into the world of the empresses Elizabeth and Catherine as you walk though the gilded ballrooms and imperial halls, and marvel at the luxury of the decoration. All Russian monarchs lived, worked, granted audiences, and held diplomatic receptions, gala balls, and masquerades in the gorgeous palace halls.

The park that surrounds the palace is a spectacular work of Russian gardening art of the 18th and 19th centuries, which combines masterpieces of architecture with the stunning beauty of nature. This tour can be combined with a visit to Pavlovsk to see the imperial estate and park complex of Paul I, the son of Catherine the Great.

Great, relaxed tour

Booking a private guide to the Katharinenpalast was the best decision we made. Irina picked met us on time in the lobby, the driver was already waiting outside. We saved roundabout 45 min compared to public transportation to get to Pushkin. There we were given tickets and entered the museum an hour before tourists who visited without guides were allowed to get in (and there was already a waiting line). Irina is fluent in German and told us not only about the exhibition but also about historical an architectural facts, as well as little anecdotes about the people who lived there. We had plenty of time to enjoy the rooms and the garden. If we hadn’t decided to book a guided tour we would have had a lot less information and a lot more “wasted” time getting there and waiting. It is expensive, but well worth the money. By the end of the day we’d decided to book another tour for the Eremitage the following day and Irina organized everything for us as well. Thank you a lot!

Meet expectations, professional.

Just too costly , otherwise is good . The voice of the guide is gentl and soft , not like other high pitched . We could spend half hour for free activities as she offered, but rejected by others due to few drops rain , otherwise we will have time to buy some coffee or food for lunch or souvenirs. Next time don't offer options.

Poor quality/ very expensive

The guide was a nice person but clearly not passionate about what she was doing. It was very expensive for the poor quality.
