Popular Island Tours in Sorrento

There was a quite stressful confusion regarding meeting point. When we arrived at the designated spot we found it very busy with many people, many groups and many guides and it wasn't clear from the start where exactly our group should meet or how we would be able to recognize each other. After an hour (!) of going from person to person asking "are you our guide by any chance" we finally by accident found our group, our guide didn't have anything on her which would suggest that she's a tour guide (no sign, no badge or anything similar), basically she looked like any other tourist. The group was just about to board the ship and we realized that they were ready to leave us behind hadn't we found them in the last moment. We were then told off about being late (we arrived 1 hour before) and then it turned out there were no ferry ticket left for us. We boarded the ship as "recommended passengers". Once on bus, the guide tried to charge us again for the entry tickets to the gardens.

The service from the meet & greet staff and family was so warm even though we literally saw them only for the short time it takes to drive us to and from the hotel and during the wait for the boat at the marina. Looking at the boats that the family-owned company operates, we were a teeny weeny bit jealous that we weren't actually on one but we did book for a terribly small number of people (just the two of us) and rather last minute (the day before) and yet, they came up trumps and supllied us a good captain and a pretty good boat if a little smaller than their usual. The Captain was really informative about all the sights we went to see even though we could see he struggled a little on some of the translation. He made good recommendations and changes in the itinerary in view of the timing that we had. Would definitely sail with Restart again (and with a larger group) next time!

We had a great day out to Capri. Maria is a wonderful host and is very informative about the towns of Capri and Anacapri. In my opinion it's definitely worth paying the extra €22 for the shuttle bus - not only for the hassle-free transfers but also for the extra tips and sights to make the most of the day. The whole day was well planned out and organised - and the commentary (and associated entertainment!) on the boat trip round the island was a welcome bonus.

After an exhilarating and somewhat wet! boat ride from waves crashing over the bow, we circumnavigated the Isle seeing various grottoes before arriving at the port of Capri. Free time allotted and a few hours spent exploring this gorgeous town, walking the beautiful alleys to the cliff top and then admiring the panoramic views from above. There was a small beach to enjoy lying on or a swim too. A fantastic day tour to a most stunning Isle.
