Full description
When you first enter The Intan, your guide will tell you all about the history of Peranakan culture and the story of the The Intan house museum. Admire the beautiful mother of pearl furniture and learn how the European style influenced the locally-made teak furniture.

Go up to the upper gallery where the staircase is lined with colorful European enameled tiffin carriers and spittoons. Upon reaching the upper level, marvel at the world's largest collection of Peranakan beaded slippers on display.

The visit will end with a colorful selection of Peranakan cakes and tea.
