This world-famous bird park fully deserves its stellar reputation. The breathtaking aviaries are spread over 50 acres, housing an absolutely mindboggling variety of bird species.
The historic former market is now primarily a food center. An architectural marvel, it's a great place to taste a wide variety of cheap food options in a picturesque environment.
Singapore's Botanic Gardens stretch over 183 acres and are simply spectacular, featuring perfectly kept trees, plants and flowers of all kinds. Incredibly, entry is free of charge.
This wonderful aquarium is home to over 2,500 underwater creatures. Top amongst its highlights is the 83-meter-long tunnel, allowing guests to see the marine spectacle from below.

This zoo deservedly ranks amongst the best in the world. The animals are kept in stunning enclosures resembling their natural habitat—even the polar bears are made to feel at home!
Amongst Singapore's many highlights, food ranks very highly. However, the best meals are not necessarily found in the many restaurants, but out on the streets, where the local population eats. Visit any of the city's numerous hawker centers and take your pick from one of the many stalls offering cuisine from all over Asia. Not only will the food be delicious, but you won't believe how little it costs!
Singapore boasts a large variety of cultures, many of which have specific and sometimes strict social customs. While a certain level of ignorance is tolerated in tourists, if you're invited to dinner or to someone's house, it's good to inform yourself about proper cultural etiquette in order to avoid offending your hosts.
Though Singapore's weather is hot all year around, the air-conditioning is kept at very high levels indoors. It's a good idea to carry a sweater with you, as visitors unaccustomed to the air-conditioning can easily catch a cold from the frequent temperature jumps.

What people are saying about Singapore
The tour was very informative. Carol our guide was very knowledgeable. Mike our driver was lovely and the two made for a good team Highly recommend this tour
Our family really enjoyed walking around with Monica to see highlights differently but also to catch some insights of the day to day life in Singapore.
I usually do not give much about Hop-on/hop-off buses, but the one in Singapore is a clear exception. It easily connects all major sights and going on top of the bus offers a great way to catch a first glimpse of the city. Whereas the sights around the Marina Bay Area are within walking distance, a range of other places certainly is not which is where this bus comes into place. Tickets can be easily bought at several platforms, but unfortunately have to be exchanged at the central stop at Suntec City first, which is the only small drawback of this tour.
It is so important to get history right. So many slant the facts for a nationalist agenda. This is a thoughtful, factual and balanced interpretation of this momentous moment in history. Beautifully presented with considered thought and robust knowledge.
Team was very friendly and when you collect luggage and exit no declaration doors. Their black desk is straight ahead before exiting the airport doors. Check in. 5mins later on shuttle to your destination. Will definitely use again! 10/10 service 10/10 budget 10/10 safety driver & vehicle
