What people are saying about Seville
We met the tour at the beautiful Hotel AlfonsoXIII. Our guide was very pleasant. The only hitch was that despite it being an English tour there were Spanish only Speakers on it. The guide would describe the sites in Spanish first and then English. This slowed everything down. I understand some Spanish but it was still distracting and time consuming. The Aquarium is really outstanding, and the cruise was very relaxing, although it was difficult to hear the announcements. The choices identifying me only allow Portugal, where we first landed. The trip was actually in Seville.
As a hearing impaired person, it is always difficult when the tour guide walks on ahead speaking and unfortunately I then do not hear any of the facts and stories. I always inform the leader of my disability but sadly they do not have the time or skills or audio assistance equipment to deal with the situation. The tour companies must make some allowances and consideration for hearing disabled participants.
Great way to get to see the city and get your bearings when you arrive. Easy cycle ride as its all flat only need to watch out for trams and pedestrians. The guide stops regularly to give some information about the different places you are passing. Great way to spend 3 hours in Seville with further advice on olaces to eat and visit whilst in the city. Good value for money.
Our guide, Montse, was an engaging and informative host, full of substantive insights. We’d considered going to Italica on our own but were so thankful that we didn’t. The site itself is a wonder on par with anything else you might visit in Seville, particularly if you like ancient history. Go and be amazed by the mosaics.
Petra was the funniest tourguide but she backed it up with incredible local and background knowledge. Be warned though the photography police at the Andalusian Horse Show use their mobiles from the other side of the gallery to alert their counterparts on your side that you might be sneaking a cheeky snap
