Full description
Meet your dedicated guide for your private tour, and enjoy a comfortable drive from Seoul to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that has separated North and South Korea since the Korean War.

Visit the site where North Korean spy commandos fought with Korean and US combined special forces. Learn about the history of this site and the ongoing tensions between the two Koreas from your expert guide. Stop at Imjingak Peace Park to discover war artefacts, artillery and military bunkers, then follow your guide along the DMZ's barbed wire fence past soldiers patrolling the border.

Pause for a delicious lunch of North Korean specialities, including barbecued duck and a range of vegetarian options.

After lunch, visit Joint Security Area (JSA). Enjoy a historical slide show about the JSA and then visit the Freedom House, a facility that functions as a liaison between North and South Korea and is administered by the United Nations. Finally step onto the Bridge of No Return, first used for POW exchanges in 1953. Then take a short trek to Odusan observation point, where you can see a North Korean farming village just across the river.

Finally, enjoy a relaxing transfer back to Seoul.
