Pick up was smooth and drop off at the end of the day much better than on some tours I've had, where it has taken an hour or more to drop everyone off at their hotel. We were taken to a central location at the end of the day and put in a taxi to our hotel- easy and no extra charge to us. The tour day was well-organized and enjoyable and Jacob was a good, but not excellent, tour guide. He was enthusiastic and conducted the tour in English and German, but he didn't provide much context or history for the things we saw. We got lots of facts....Lunch at the place he arranged was quite excellent and we appreciated that it was easy for us and we didn't have to run around trying to find a place to eat in a short amount of time and good price. Also, we went to a couple of stores where he knows the owners, for us to buy things. Not sure I liked that part, as I imagine he gets some sort of kickback if we buy stuff. But, we only spent 10 minutes in each place so it wasn't a deal-breaker.
Good value for the money. Able to visit and see interesting locations in a short span of time. Guide was knowledgeable, a bit gruff, had a nice humorous style and his accent at times was a bit thick making it difficult to hear his remarks clearly. He was generous in offering his jacket to my wife who found the weather more cool than expected. Driver was skilled, these two gentleman worked hard and provided a good service. Excellent lunch!
Highly recommend this tour for an organized & excellent historical overview of these sights. Norbert was the guide & driver for the day and I was extremely impressed at how he was able to do both simultaneously with enthusiasm. Free time per location is limited but enough time to snap a couple of photos before heading to the next destination. Bring 50 shekels cash for the Arabian lunch during the tour & enjoy!
The tour guide was ok. It is worth to visit Nazaret, Capernaum once in a lifetime, but it is not real I think! People hundreds of years ago built some temple somewhere and the told us that was the house of Maria or Jozef, etc, but is is not real I think. If you want to see real things go to Jerusalem: Western Wall, Western Wall Tunnel, City of David, Siloam, Bethesda. Massada.
Exceptional trip along the Israeli coast. Caesarea, Haifa, Akko, HaNikra provide a nice snapshot of the long history of this region. Hava is superior guide - so interesting, funny, accommodating, and informative. World class!
