What People Are Saying about Rovinj
What a great day. A good lunch, snacks, beverages and a lovely trip up the coast. We enjoyed the sights including lots of little islands and the two lovely towns of Vrsar and Porec that we had a chance to visit (about 1 1/2 hours in each town).
Quite a long way to go each day in the searing heat - I'd avoid August, especially in heatwave! But Fiore tours were v friendly and good about dropping us off half way so we could make it more manageable. One of our bikes was dodgy (not great) but they drove out the next day to replace it. Recommend you buy a map of Istria so you can adjust the route and to help with directions (would be good if the tour pack included that - the booklet wasn't enough for us). Hotels were comfortable and well located - only one didn't have air con but when we asked they gave us a fan. 2 had a pool. Beautiful scenery and delightful towns. Put your swim stuff in your paniers for sea stops en route. One word of warning - some of the cycling was along busier roads than we would have liked. Overall a great trip but we had to customize it a bit because of the heat. You're fine with English but a bit of Italian and German helps too.
