What people are saying about Rome

Our tour guide (Chiara) was the best in showing us around the Basilica. She had a good explanation and was super helpful. The Basilica in itself is a beauty to visit. I did however disliked the fact we could not visit the papal tombs. I did read the fine print, which stated that the papal tombs can be closed off by the Vatican, where the guide would show us more of the Basilica. Nevertheless I did not like the fact it was closed on short notice, making us unable to visit.

When we arrived at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour, we got a bit confused as we were looking for someone in a pink tshirt - don't panic if you get there and it appears noone is around waiting for you. The tour guide is likely sat in the shade at the cafe place waiting for the start time in the shade. Once we set off, our guide was very informative and knowledgable. Overall, the experience was interesting and worth the time.

Would strongly recommend pre booking a tour. Otherwise you’ll be unlikely to be able to get into to these three places on your own. Tour was by I Love Rome and they were fantastic. Well organised and started sharpish. Tour guide was really good and very knowledgeable

Chiara was a wonderful guide. She explained areas of interest clearly and created a good rapport and A charming connection with our group. I loved the tour - it showed so many of the hidden gems that I would have otherwise missed as a layperson in Rome.

The guide was friendly and was very informative. I travelled with a small child and she made sure that she wasn’t going too fast for us. The only thing that would’ve made it better was not skipping some of the other rooms throughout the Vatican museum.
