Full description
Explore Rome via a unique mode of transport and see more of the city than you would on foot. During a 3-hour sightseeing tour by street legal golf cart, you will make easy work of the Eternal City, and even visit hidden gems, such as the Aventine and Celio hills, not usually included on walking tours. Departing from Piazza del Popolo, in front of the "twin" churches of Santa Maria in Montesanto and Santa Maria dei Miracoli, set off for Rome’s historic center and see sights such as the baroque Trevi Fountain. According to legend, if you throw a coin in the fountain you are guaranteed to one day return to Rome. You will also pass Piazza Barberini, Piazza Colonna, named for the marble Column of the Roman Marcus Aurelius, and Piazza Venezia, the very center of Rome dominated by the Victor Emmanuel II monument to a unified Italy. Drive to lesser known gems, such as Celio Hill, site of the beautiful villa and gardens of Villa Celimontana and the ancient basilicas of Santo Stefano Rotondo and Santi Giovanni e Paolo. And explore Aventine Hill, home to the Knights of Malta, city rose garden, and a fragrant orange grove. Tours are tailored to client’s wishes and all itineraries are suggestions. The purpose is to give you an idea of what one can see during a tour in a golf cart, and what the tour can cover starting and ending from the Piazza del Popolo.

Our family of 5 with children ages 15, 12 and 10 really enjoyed the golf cart tour around the city. Eugene did a great job interacting with the kids and asking them questions. He also tailored the tour to our interests. My wife and I have toured the city in one day on a previous tour; I can say the golf cart is an ideal way to see the city allowing flexibility to go anywhere. One of my favorites of the 3.5 hours was visiting a park above the city with a view of all of Rome.

We were with 2 teenagers and the grandma with the golf cart. That was very pleasant. Especially for my son as a wheelchair user. Roberto is our tour guide and has tailored the tour for us. It was very informative and great. We had fun with Roberto and our children still rave about the pleasant way to explore Rome and with Roberto as the German-speaking tour guide it was perfect!

We had an extraordinary morning with Eugene. My 7 and 9 year old children and I were straight off a plane from australia. It was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in Rome without having to rely on our jet lagged brains. Eugene was so knowledgeable and tailored the tour so that there was minimal duplication with what we were going to be incorporating into our intinerary over the next couple of days. He was able to share lots of insight about the history of Rome and all that he was showing to us as well as showing us a few areas that only the locals know about. The most perfect way to spend our first morning in rome. Very highly recommended.
