Full description
Your full-day excursion begins with a comfortable air-conditioned coach ride along the Highway of the Sun heading from Rome to the Mediterranean coast. You’ll cross the fertile Roman countryside and the area known as Castelli Romani, which is dotted with picturesque medieval villages.

After arriving in Naples, you’ll board a jet boat for the 45-minute crossing to Marina Grande, the port of Capri. Once you’ve reached the island you can take another motorboat to see the famous Blue Grotto (April through October and if weather and sea conditions permit it) and experience the impressive views from Anacapri.

You’ll marvel at the natural beauty of the Blue Grotto. Sunlight passes through an underwater cavity and shines through the water, creating a stunning blue reflection that illuminates the cavern.

After returning to port you’ll head to Anacapri, a scenic spot on Capri that features lovely views of the Bay of Naples. This is followed by a visit to a typical local restaurant for lunch. You’ll have free time to explore Capri at your leisure in the afternoon.

On returning to Naples, you’ll have splendid views from the port of the 12th-century Castel Nuovo and the Royal Palace.

Blue Grotto amazing!!

I would have given a 5 because our guide Luca was great, so helpful and really patient with us as we had some special requests. The drive from Rome was so long and the line for Blue Grotto as well that we didn't see it until after 6 hours of travel and line waiting. So our request was to take a train back on our own instead of going back on bus (3 hour drive). The train was 1 hr. He graciously gave us all the information we needed and help to arrange this and save some time in getting back to Rome. Capri was beautiful, didn't really see much of Naples as we only go there to take ferry to Capri. I don't know if there is a version of this tour by train but I would recommend it to save time. Otherwise, seeing the Blue Grotto, Capri & Ana Capri are great! Lunch is forgettable. Guide Luca is awesome! My family (husband & adult children) all came to the same consensus on this tour.

An intensive, well-planned, full day. The Blue Grotto was closed, we instead got a tour around Capri by boat - absolutely fantastic. The lunch that was included was lousy. Unengaged staff, sad food and bad coffee (in Italy!) ... Our guide took care most of the logistics and he did well.

A lovely experience but such a long day

The waiting around with such a large group and everything in two languages was not a good experience. I would have preferred a small group. The lunch was the worst food I have had in Italy and I live here. The reason I said excellent is the guides were helpful and attentive the weather was great and the blue grotto wad amazing.
