A MUST SEE, especially for Tudor history.

Getting to Hampton Court was simple and I used the Tube/Train to get there. The station is directly next to Hampton Court and there is a short walk to the entrance. Once in, I went to ticketing to present my printed confirmation wherein I received a ticket and was told where to pick up an audio guide/headphones. The audio guide takes you through the entire Court, including the gardens. Hampton Court is a wonderous place filled with history. Once through the front entrance, one is taken back to the 14th century! There are re-enactments done by historian/actors in various places throughout the Court. Every employee, no matter where I went, was so willing to share bits of history and answer any questions. Plan on being at the Court for at least 3 hours — maybe longer should the weather be nice. One will never be the same after having been in and seen Hampton Court.

A fabulous, informative, good value day out.

I visited Hampton Court with friends during a short London break. We stayed near Waterloo Station because we could catch the direct overground train to Hampton Court. We had a fabulous day, the staff were very helpful and informative and we learnt all sorts of interesting facts. We heard a fascinating talk about the Grape Vine before visiting it. The gardens are stunning and its well worth allowing enough time to wander. We had coffee and cake in a tiny courtyard when we needed a break. We spent about 4 hours in total before getting the train back. This was a really good value day out, the history was fascinating and its well worth a visit.

A national treasure worth the effort to see.

A stunning conglomeration of history, architecture, art, and gardens. Excellent docents posted throughout for questions and help, and lots of good interpretation available to read and / or listen to. Plan a full day - it’s a bit of a journey, especially if you go by boat, and the estimated 3 hrs. I’ve seen elsewhere on the web is *not* an overstatement. Food, drink, and toilets are available.

Fabulous day out, go early so you don't miss anything! Short walk from bus stop to entrance of Palace! Staff were very helpful. Good wheelchair; pram access. Toilets (always clean!) in Palace and grounds. Expensive cafe but lovely food!Go to art gallery if thats your thing because it closes earlier than Palace! Highly recommend!

Entry went extremely smooth and we enjoyed immensely!

We arrived before opening at Hampton Court and were the first in. We enjoyed a full day of discovery and even did the Maze, We enjoyed lunch in the Orangerie. We covered every facet including the old Grape Vine. We thoroughly enjoyed our day here and learned a great deal more about King Henry VIII!!!
