Full description
Travel through the farming regions of southern Iceland and experience the Land of Fire and Ice firsthand. On this full-day (9-hour) tour you’ll encounter black sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, powerful volcanoes, and majestic glaciers.

This stunning natural landscape has been shaped over the centuries by the combined activity of glaciers and volcanoes.

Marvel at the rainbows at the Skógafoss waterfall and take a walk on the black sand Reynisfjara beach with its surrounding basalt columns. According to Icelandic legend the columns are actually mischievous trolls, who were turned into rock by the rising sun. See cliffs and caves and walk behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfalls.

The ride is very good. The attractions are very nice to visit. I only have two negative comments: First: I paid to be picked up and left at the hotel. At the scheduled time, they were there to pick up, but when I left, after almost 10 hours of walking, very tired, I was left on an avenue and not in my hotel. The guide just pointed the way I should go. I walked about 3-4 blocks. It made me pretty annoyed. Second point: The guide, although friendly, spoke English to native speakers. All very fast. Who was not fluent, lost details of the explanations. Despite that, it was worth it!

Southern Coast, Waterfalls & Black Beach

The tour was very well organised and within the schedule. Our driver Gunnar and guide Jakob was excellent. Jakob especially was amazing. He was funny, warm and narrated interesting stories, historical and mythical. His narration skills are pretty awesome. Keeps you engaged through a 10 hour trip and you would not know how time flew by between the different stops, which are sometimes hours apart. The only negative in the whole tour was that the poor weather didn't allow us to walk behind the waterfalls. But overall the tour was A-awesome and definitely recommend these guys and I can only assume that they would definitely be as good on the other tours they organize. Probably a differentiator is also the number of times Jakob stressed on safety, starting from buckling up in the bus, explaining emergency exits and to the moment you step out of the bus including buckling up on your flight back home. It was refreshing to see and really commendable.

Lovely day

A lovely day with so many beautiful sights, the waterfalls are just amazing but would have like more time at them. The only thing we would say is we spend a little to much time at the beach sand beaches as is was busy and very windy and the waves were high that you couldn't really get anywhere near to the beach/sea but it was lovely to look at. Would recommend seeing the south coast.
