What people are saying about Porto

Delicious wine, amazing views and friendly tour guides

This was an incredible experience made all the better by our knowledgeable tour guide Ricardo. Each of the activities was fun and authentic. I could not recommend this highly enough. The ports and wines were delicious and plentiful. We were shown some of the most spectacular scenery imaginable. The flow of the day was perfect thanks in large part to Ricardo. Not only did he accommodate us being picked up/dropped off separately from the other group members but he was extremely friendly, courteous and explained many facts about the area of the Douro Valley both in Enlgish and Portuguese. I will be telling friends and family to add this to their bucket list. Obrigado!

Great way to see the city with a small child

This trip was really good value, the man in the office was super friendly and told us about a lovely little restaurant in the museum across the road (We had lunch here before the tour - highly recommend). The train ride was fine, much more comfortable than I thought it would be after reading the reviews. The wine cellar tour was interesting and not too long for our daughter - the tasters were a nice touch . The boat trip was lovely. Do arrive early for the boat trip, we did as advised by previous reviews and there was already a queue. The boat also left 20 minutes earlier than departure time. Would definitely recommend.

Great way to enjoy the Douro region in a more private setting

The combination of activities and different ways of transportation was nice (boat, train, car). Very nice lunch with beautiful view of the river. We visited an olive oil museum and also had a wine tasting there. Despite our guide Sylvia being more than 30 minutes late to pick us (she did phone) up she did a great job and gave us a bonus visit of a beautiful church on the way back to Porto - worth including in the program? To complete the day it could be nice to add a visit to a porto estate as well.

river cruise excellent but missed the 2 bus sightseeing tours due to.

...time lost trying to figure out how to get to ch croustille. This chateau was far away from the Cite du vin and so we did not go to it because we would never be in time for our 1600 hrs appt at crostille. The Chateau should suggest their visitors to allow 2-3 hrs before their visit to Chateau Croustille.

Booking was very easy and saved money overall.

The bus drivers could be more helpful providing information with stops. Other tourists and myself found it frustrating at times when they drove past the stops and expected us to know it all. At times they would stop at some stops for a long time talking to colleagues. I used the yellow bus.
