What people are saying about Port Lincoln
This trip was full of interesting and enjoyable activities.
We were picked up by Paul from our hotel in Port Lincoln. Paul was professional and pleasant and quickly got us on our way. We felt at ease and the conversation flowed naturally. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. Paul was a safe driver who had excellent local knowledge. He was interesting and informative sharing many stories with us. We appreciated his open friendly manner and willingness to answer our questions. We will always remember the pristine beaches and the beautiful national park. Other highlights of the tour were Coffin Bay and the oysters, the National Park, the quirky morning tea , the seafood lunch and much more. Paul helped us become more familiar with the area and what it had to offer. He went out of his way to give us a good time. Nothing was too much trouble and we thank him for a special trip which we can highly recommend to others visiting Port Lincoln. Paul took some fun photographs of us during the day which he gave us. This was an unexpected bonus.
Great fun day for 4 adults, lots to see and do and a beautiful lunch.
My brother & his wife were visiting my husband & myself (from Sydney) and so I booked us in for the Port Lincoln Day Tour. We saw the sights of Port Lincoln National Park including beautiful scenery and we then shared a lovely morning tea. We were all elated to observe a number of seals swimming and sun baking Mikkira Station has a large number of koalas in various forms of activity (or not), It was delightful to observe them in their own natural environment Port Lincoln Fish Place, was yummy and we then visited Boston Bay Winery where we all enjoyed the experience of tasting the local drop. Glenn Forest Sanctuary showed us an array of different animals who all seemed to enjoy being hand fed from our seed bags and live in a vast, safe environment. Paul our guide for the day, made us all most welcome and showed our whole tour group nothing but professionalism for the entire day, sharing information and stories related to the area & he also shared his passion of photography.
Service and crew were good and but unfortunately no sharks.
There was a howling gale and the water was a bit rough but I was surprised at the stability of the boat. It had some sort of gyroscopic device fitted. I did feel sorry for the people who paid all that money and spent the day vomiting. The food menu was a good selection of 'good food' and 'junk food,' so everyone was catered for. I found plenty to eat and it was nicely presented by staff. The TV doco's were a good idea and an interesting pass time on the voyage. Access to the shark cage was easy and relatively safe and there were plenty of trevally and a king fish to look at. The organizers put on a very picturesque sunrise and sunset. They tried their hardest to entice a shark to the boat but fell short in that area. I blame the tuna being cleaned and gutted just up the coast. I enjoyed the extra rough journey back in. Better than a ride at the Royal show. To sum it up as they say, 'A bad day chasing sharks is better than a day at work'. I hope the voucher'is honoured.
prompt, great info, magnificant vistas and exceptional tourguide Paul
Paul was a confident and competent driver who was very flexible as the day had weather challenges that were spectacular and he improvised and took us to breathtaking views that we could see wintery fronts come rushing over us, blowing all the cobwebs out, learnt more about oysters that I thought possible and ate more in a day than I had in a long time. The perfect introduction to Port Lincoln. We will be back.
It was one of the coolest tours I've ever done.
Swimming with sea lions was awesome. They were so playful and interactive. The Cage dive was amazing. We had a 10ft and 8ft great white come in. I saw one dive while in the cage and it was incredible to see an animal dive like that.
