What people are saying about Ponta Delgada
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our guide was proficient in many languages. Genuine care of animal welfare and amazing conservation practise. Inspiring to be as green and eco as possible. Up to date blog. Slow organisation of cancelled times and rebooked tickets by email which made make alternative plans for our day difficult. Be prepared that they cannot control the weather and this is in your best interest for your safety however disappointed you are.
We had a great time with Jose on this drive along the rim of the crater. He stopped wherever and whenever we wanted, as long as it was safe to do so. We had 6 in the vehicle, which was a little tight, but we didn't mind since we all took turns moving from seat to seat after stops. That way we all had a chance to ride shotgun, and no one was stuck in the very back the whole time.
Fantastic knowledgeable guide, who put everyone at ease and made the group feel welcomed. Arrived at the setting at dusk, after an authentic traditional cooked meal, to twinkling lights , beautiful lush greenery and inviting steamy pools. Lovely romantic evening with time to unwind. Absolutely loved it and would say do not miss this experience.
I saw how highly this tour was rated and understood right away. It felt like Bruno invited me as family to know about his island and culture. He has a wealth of knowledge and history and was extremely professional and an amazing guide. I recommend this tour to everyone coming to the Azores.
Our tour with Samuel was quite lovely. He was very knowledgeable with regards to showing us around the island, from some very beautiful view points to where the first airport used to be. Samuel was very accommodating, very engaging and this tour was everything we were looking for.
