What people are saying about Playa Blanca, Lanzarote
The tour was changed due to covid 19 restrictions and we had to have lunch in the north of the island instead which meant while we saw some extra scenery we spent a lot longer driving in a non air conditioned van that seriously needs its suspension seeing to. plus while you expect a bumpy ride on the off road section you don't expect a kamikaze driver who gets right up behind other cars so he has to keep braking suddenly and give you whiplash or illegally overtake on dangerous bends. That said the stop offs are interesting and worth visiting for anyone interested in the history or geography of the island and of course accessing the best beach on the island. Make sure to bring snorkel gear with you as papagayo beach has amazing fish life. The lunch is excellent too. Be aware that you have to wear a face mask at all times unless eating or drinking so bare this in mind as you will be enclosed in a hot hot van for a lot of the excursion.
Such a good trip we saw a pod of dolphins. The crew were amazing and told us all about the species, they turned the boat to folllow the pod to ensure we saw as much as possible. The Island of Lobos was beautiful, only thing to note if you have small children there isn’t alot to do other than the beach. The island has a little restaurant 5 mins from the boat, a beach 10 mins from the boat and a volcano walk 50 mins from the boat. You have around 2 hours on the island with a good packed lunch given as you get off the boat. You are dropped back to a Playa Blanca to get the coach back the ride back is 30 mins and a little fast which the boat I was on loved the children were squealing with delight with the bumps. Fab trip, we thoroughly enjoyed it and are so grateful we got to see Dolphins and made fab memories with our children!
I can highly recommend this trip. We didn't expect to see any dolphins as it was considered out of season but we saw three pods of dolphins each a different species. The packed lunch supplied was brilliant we couldn't believe how much was in it. Plenty of free time to explore Lobos. Very well organized excursion and we will definitely do it again.
Everything was fine including our Guide on the boat. We were given plenty of useful information and lunch, too. The only thing I didn't like was that I had the confirmation about the trip only because I asked them the day before. The van driver arrived 12 minutes late and he didn't even get off to welcome me on board.
The tour guide was very knowledgable. There was a lot more in the trip than what we expected. Excellent value for money. It was worth it to see my partners suffering face when the ferry back was a bit rough lol. All in all a very good trip.
