Excellent tour of the Scottish highlands with very entertaining guide

If you are in Scotland, Scottish highlands are not to be missed. If you have just 1 day, this tour is the one for you. This tour takes you through all the key highlands attractions close to Edinburgh - Queen's View, Hermitage walk, Dunkeld, Blair Castle, River Garry, Killiecrankie gorge, Glencoe, etc. The guide entertains you throughout the tour with various folklores and stories from Mary, Queen of Scots to the Scottish highlands. There is enough time to visit provided all of them except Queen's View and Blair Castle. You may require 2.5-3 hours for Blair Castle instead of 1.5 hours which is provided. As for the Queen's View, it's too beautiful to just take a few snaps and then leave. 20 mins is too less a time for that. I am a big fan for admiring natural beauty and I would require at least 1 hour to be at the spot. It was quite rainy on the day of the tour but Matt made the best of it and made sure that we enjoy all the spots even if that means we reach to Edinburgh 1 hour late.

Excellent tour with very entertaining tour guide and driver

Scotland is beautiful I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the Scottish attractions outside of Edinburgh. The tour guide, Eric, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He kept telling stories about himself, Scotland and any other attractions we are going to or pass on our way. He also complemented many of his stories with a famous Scottish folklore song or one from the well-known bands of Scotland. The tour also provides some discount on the Loch Lomond cruise tickets. There was enough time to enjoy all attractions except Stirling castle. It is optional so we decided to explore the area around Stirling castle. Stirling city is beautiful but there wasn't enough time to go down the Stirling city and then up again as well so we were stuck with exploring just the area around Stirling castle. I think the tour should provide 2-2.5 hours at Stirling castle instead of 1.5 hours. A huge shout out to Eric and Timberbush tours for making it a memorable experience for us.

Wonderful relaxing day in off-the-beaten-track locales

I loved this tour. Being able to wander in the gardens at Blair Castle was extremely peaceful and restful; I was able to see and photograph many small birds. I loved Queen's View, too; it's a majestic panorama of some of the best warm, welcoming highland scenery, and I would not have wanted to miss it. The walk alongside the river at the Hermitage was excellent as well; I felt like I was out in the countryside experiencing it, not just viewing it through glass all day long at top speed. When we were riding in the coach, it was nice to drive on less trafficked back roads where I didn't have white knuckles all day as we constantly passed endless lorries and dozens of other tour vans at top speed on impossibly narrow two-lane highways, as we did on the other highland tour I took with a competing company. Graham was knowledgeable, friendly, and authoritative; he kept us safe and well-scheduled, providing all needed information for comfort and safety. I appreciated his kindness.

Wonderful day out to a beautiful part of the country!

We had a wonderful time. The driver gave us an excellent commentary of all the areas we visited. His explanations were full of historical significance including a great deal of personal experience. The cruise on Loch Lomond should not be missed, although it was quite windy and a bit chilly, it was beautiful. Stirling Castle is an exciting place to visit especially if you are interested in Scottish history. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

My husband and I enjoyed the trip very much.

Me and my husband enjoyed the sceneries. Marty, the tourist guide/driver was superb. He appeared like he was really enjoying evry minute of his job. He narrated the history of the places that we visited with a bit of humor so the tourist were loughing and didn"t feel bored while we were travelling. A great value for money.
