Full description
Your street art tour begins in front of the magnificent Sant Francesc Church in the old town of Palma, a 13th century place of worship partly remodeled in the 1600s after it was struck by lightning. You’ll take a stroll through the Old Town to some lesser known parts of the capital where you’ll explore its flourishing street art scene. Here you’ll admire striking murals of floating chocolate tea cups and children playing with soap bubbles and attempt to decipher the meaning behind these politically minded artworks, learning more about Spain’s political and social history in the process.

You’ll see works by several well-known artists, including Joan Aguiló, once a guerrilla graffiti artist, who is now regularly invited by local businesses and the Spanish government to create beautiful artworks that breathe new life into urban areas. Around halfway into your tour, you’ll make a stop at a favorite local bar for a refreshing drink and a chat.

You’ll then continue to navigate the streets, spotting more creative street art along the way. The artworks in Palma tend to be on the small side due to the narrow streets, but there’s some large-scale designs to be found as well. Your tour will end in the city centre, just in time for dinner. Your expert local guide will be more than happy to give you some insider tips for dinner before the tour is over.
