Good tour of the city, highlighting it's history and important historical locations on both routes. We'd advise to start early as possible to take in both routes, and allow time to hop on, hop off at your preferred locations. It's a lot to take in so quickly, so bring a pen and paper to make note of locations which you'd like to revisit on route. The ticket is unlimited on both routes for 24 hours from your entry onto the tour bus. You can start at any point on the circuits convenient to you - both start/terminate at Teatro Politeama. Make note where your stop is, take note of the sign locations- they're not always clear & visible, as sometimes the bus has to stop close as possible, due to traffic/parking. If you 'Re staying a few days in Palermo - very worthwhile, it'll give you guidance to explore further. Both routes intersect at Teatro Massimo - there is good shopping and dining options within a short walk. Great history, architecture and buildings are sublime.
The city centre of Palermo is bigger than we thought and booking this tour was a great idea! Moreover, booking the ticket online is recommended because the ticket office is not open in the afternoon. Cons: - During the first ride, I had to send by email my booking to one of the employees of the company. - A number of passengers wanted to take the same line at the same line, probably because they arrived together with a cruise. We avoided it by taking the other line and the company reacted adding extra buses to the route. They also organised quite well the queue by giving numbers to the passengers, so whoever arrived first, entered first the bus. - One of the employees was quite rude and not helpful to everyone.
Glad to have the opportunity to leave a review. We were lucky enough to get Francesca on a Sunday. She is knowledgeable as well as flexible ( given we are both over 65) Francesca was able to impart a wealth of knowledge we would never have known otherwise. She also showed us many locations of historical significance and explained their background. As well as this we visited the local markets and streets and , Francesca explained some of the Palmero culture which were just as much fun. Not to mention a couple of little shop detours on the way. Our trip to Palermo was greatly enriched by Francesca’s tour. Grazie Mille Francesca !
Wow what a wonderful afternoon. We booked this activity as we were stopping in Palermo on our cruise and we were both so glad we did. Our hosts met us in a location which was easy to find and a few minutes walk from their town house. The wine and conversation flowed all afternoon interrupted only by the cheese a snacks prepared by out hosts. We would recommend this tour to anyone and the bonus is we got to take any unfinished bottles of wine we wanted away with us.
Palermo is a breautyful city. When doing this tour you gonna learn about the city, the beautiful places and will know where to walk to after the tour. It is nice to have a voice guide in my own language, to tell me things about the city. The best part is that the ticket is valid for 24hours. I can use it all day, and when starting at the afternoon, the next day I can still hop on the bus. Must do tour!
