What people are saying about Palace of the Dukes of Braganza
We had a very small group and we really enjoyed our tour guide, Joanne. I loved the minivan as you could fit a max of 9 people in there including the driver. I had the dreaded "middle seat" and it was very comfortable. We were picked up right in front of our hotel. The tour felt very personalized because she could speak to us without shouting or having to wear those annoying microphones. We came from some large tours in Spain where you had a 3 hour milk-run picking up people from 19 hotels. This tour was nothing like those! The sites were amazing (Guimares & Braga) and world-class. Lunch was included which is very rare on tours. Would definitely recommend this tour with Joanne. The highlight was the cathedral in Braga for me. Joanne is excellent! Highly, highly recommended!
We had the most amazing day with a totally excellent guide who was so knowledgable and friendly, we wanted for nothing. We had a lovely meal in a restaurant in Braga and our guide explained what all the local food was. We loved both Braga and Guimaeres and had plenty of time to enjoy both. The whole day was just so enjoyable and so much to see in both towns. Can thoroughly recommend this tour company, don't hesitate to book with them, You will not be disappointed.
Tour was well organised however would have liked less time at the castle at Guimaraes and more free time in City. Braga was the highlight and again would have been great to have a bit more free time to explore the city. Tour guide Pedro was very knowledgeable and obviously was passionate about the Portugal history. Worthwhile trip.
Very polite, well informed and friendly guide Piedro. It might be helpfull to inform future foreign visitors about the fact that in the holy Easter week, many sights cannot be visited and are closed in Guimares and Braga. Lunch in Braga was great and thanks to Piedro we had a very interesting and nice day.
Joanna picked us up on time from our hotel and as there were only the two of us it turned into a private tour. She was very friendly and knew many interesting details about the history of both cities. The tour was broken into manageable segments and was a most enjoyable day.
