Both sites are absolutely incredible! Basilica is a must see

My sister and I were expecting good things from this tour, but it was far far better than that! We easily found the meeting place. Everyone gets a headphone set so you can always hear your guide, and ours was called Rosanna. She was so lovely, upbeat, friendly, and funny. We did the Basilica first and we were lucky to be in there when it was illuminated and it was absolutely beautiful (it is usually only illuminated for mass and other than that for one hour a day). The Basilica also hosts an amazing artwork entirely made of gold and just under 2,000 jewels. This was information provided by Rosanna, and a lot of what made this tour good was all the facts she told us. It would not have been half as amazing without context. Then we did the Doges Palace where, as part of this tour, you actually walk inside and along the Bridge of Sighs, which we weren't expecting! Also the Doges Palace has the largest canvas artwork in the world, which was astounding to see. Two very happy customers!

Wonderful tour and excellent guide for Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s

The combination of Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s Basilica after hours made for a wonderful tour. It had started cooling off and there crowds had mostly left so we loved it. Our guide Pam was so good - she was very knowledgeable about Venetian history and these two historic places. And she was very charming. I highly recommend this tour. The walking is moderate and there are some stairs but not a lot. And the stairs were more half-flights at a time which made them easy to get past. And the views from Doge’s are magnificent. St Mark’s is breathtaking with the gold ceiling and we practically had the place to ourselves.

Missed important sections as not wheelchair accessible

Our guide was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to all the information she was giving us. However it says it’s wheelchair accessible- in a way it was but you had to split up from your tour group and go to different areas to get lifts so you missed chucks of the tour as your headset went out of range. Including the bridge of sighs

Well timed and organized with extremely knowledgeable guide.

Worth it. The fast pass options are great. Additionally you move along much faster as a group and get to hear about amazing history in any down time. Our guide had a few of our group members go rogue and always handled himself with poise and kept the tour moving as much as possible.

Would have preferred more about the buildings

Very knowledgeable and interesting guide. Most of the tour was focused on the ceiling frescoes so I had a sore neck by the end. Would have liked a bit more info on the history of the buildings but I. The limited time, she did a good job!
