What people are saying about Oslo

Great adventure for those curious about Norwegian fjords and islands

I just experienced the cruise tour yesterday and I can say for sure that it was such a fantastic trip ever I have joined in so far, ha ha. Even though the weather was not so nice yesterday afternoon, we managed it perfectly (and I do want to emphasize the outstanding talent of the captain and his cruise staff, a lovely nice cooperation). We went off the harbour, pitching and plunging through waves masterfully, strolling along meanders of inlets and mesmerizing dozens of idyllic islands and marvellous landscapes of Her gorgeous beauty, Norwegian fjords. However, one tiny drawback (if I am insisted to give) is the easy-to-come drowsiness due to the melodic ups and downs of the fjords and also 2-hour trip, ha ha. Indeed, a really nice choice for economic but energetic travellers like me.

Immaculate sailing vessel, polite crew, and beautiful scenery

The sightseeing tour was aboard an old, but immaculately maintained wooden sailing schooner(?). The crew was very polite and motored the boat around the fjord with great skill. The commentary was minimal and I would have liked more details about the history, natural history as well as the flora and fauna that live in around the fjord. Being October, it got quite chilly aboard, but the crew brought out mounds of blankets to wrap up in, and supplied yummy warm drinks. The wooden folding chairs were rickety and uncomfortable but no one seemed to mind.

Lovely, but don't bother if it's non-stop rain.

Lovely Oslo harbor tour. Enjoyment very much depends on the weather as there is no indoor area with proper viewing, just a bar area with a few small bistro tables and portholes. The upper and lower decks have tarp coverings but a steady rain will leave you chilled and wet, even with the blankets they offer, as the wind draws in a sideways rain. Should you be fortunate to have the sun shine, it will be a lovely mini cruise with pre-recorded info of the surroundings.

A really well thought out and enjoyable trip

A really good trip, options to sit in a covered area or out in the elements (would highly recommend for the best views) It is very chilly once you get out on the fjord so make sure you wrap up warm. Also, its not very clear on the website but you can only visit the museums and get the boat back if you leave on the 10 o clock boat. If you get the one o clock trip you have to come back on the bus (which is also very easy and well signposted!)

If there is more open space on the boat, it would be great!

It was a nice tour with beautiful view, very friendly guide who introduced in very details. In my personal view, there is only one thing which might be considered to improve: the boat is more or less closed which didn't allow a friendly circumstance to take nice pictures. Understood it may take more efforts on security setup, if more open roof. Anyway, I had nice time from the tour indeed.
