What people are saying about Niagara-on-the-Lake
If you're pressed for time and want to do it all, this is the tour for you. We were looking for a tour that would easily take us to see Niagara falls and back again without worrying about travel and transfers, and that would provide us with a guide. This was so much more than that. Our tour guide Judy and driver Mike were incredible, making us feel welcome, and having such a wealth of knowledge of the whole of Canada and anecdotes that they were sharing throughout. The tour included a reasonable start time, and covered an excellent lunch buffet overlooking the Falls, plenty of time at the Falls themselves to walk around and enjoy the views, the boat ride on the Hornblower, some more time to relax and explore around the main part, a stop off at the picturesque town of Niagara on the Lake, and finally a stop for ice wine tasting. Fun, informative, and top value for money. I wouldn't have changed anything at all about the day - I would 100% recommend this tour, it was perfect.
I wanted to personally thank our tour guide/driver Al, who was exceptional in hosting the tour. He connected, grounded, very knowledgable of both Toronto and Niagara Falls and had many stories to go w it, which I loved. The tour I would definitely highly recommend, you get your moneys worth. Well organised and very informative w all details I required to attending and having a successful, enjoyable day. Thanks Al for being an awesome Host, also the admin team for keeping me informed. You definitely see all that is Niagara Falls about. BIG thanks again and would highly recommend it to anyone.
We had a great day exploring the region. The driver was friendly, safe, and organized. The wineries we visited each had their own itinerary - some included a tour while others were just the tasting. Sometimes you could pick which wine you tasted while others had a pre-determined list. This made for a nice variety. The tour didn't ever feel rushed and we also had plenty of time in Niagara on the Lake (the town) for lunch. Overall, it was a really good day and a great way to experience the wineries without worrying about getting around or paying for tastings separately!
The only negative feedback I have is that we stopped at a lovely we village for one hour, but only spent about 20 minutes at the wine tasting. Apart from that everything else was absolutely fabulous, from the bus driver to our guide who was very informative but without being over the top as some guides can be. I would highly recommended this day trip to everyone who visits Toronto.
Despite the rainy day, it was a great experience. The tour guide gave us lots of colour commentary about the sights and peppered her presentations with just enough historical facts to keep things interesting. Somewhat of a long day but worthwhile. Would have preferred a longer time in Niagara On The Lake and could have easily skipped the ice wine tasting.
