You will join a 1-hour live webinar with a local guide to learn about the ancient city of Pompeii and its destruction.  On August 24, 79 AD, Mount Vesuvius erupted and smothered the surrounding areas in ash. This ash killed thousands, but it also preserved the people in their final moment of life. In addition, it preserved houses, stadiums, and markets, which allows us to have an incredibly detailed insight into what Roman life was like almost 2000 years ago. Your guide will use photos, videos and his own expert knowledge to tell the unique story of Pompeii. At the end, there will be time for a Q&A session to ask any questions you have regarding the information discussed or Pompeii in general. Invite the whole family — huddle around the computer and watch together. There will only be one login per booking, and thus the virtual tour cannot be accessed on multiple devices. Any device may be used and no special program is needed. An email will be sent the day of the activity with login information. No webcam or microphone is needed. If you would like to interact you are welcome to, but no one will see you or hear you speak unless you choose to participate in the Q&A portion, which is only audio. Your privacy is very important.
