What people are saying about Medjugorje
We did the tour from Dubrovnik to Mostar on 30th December with 5 other people in a minibus. Our guide Romeo picked us up at the time and place where we’re told via e-mail one day in advance. That was very convenient. Romeo told us a lot about Dubrovnik itself so we didn’t need a tour guide for Dubrovnik itself :) He is very international and open-minded, knows a lot about Croatia and the history. While going to Mostar we stopped in Neum and Pocitelj. In Pocitelj unfortunately only 15 minutes. Upon request Romeo also gave information about Mostar. However he just dropped us near the Old Bridge and picked us up after three hours and recommended to climb the minaret of a nearby mosque. There was no guided tour of Mostar as such. I would have loved to have a 45-60 minutes tour by him and then free time (maybe even more than 3 hours if you want to visit museums). On the way back we stopped in Ston. Overall tour lasted 10 hours and was very nice! Maybe ask the guide to show you Mostar also.
The day trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina is a must do. We were picked up on time and immediately started our road trip to Bosnia. Kruno is an excellent guide... absolutely world class! From the first greeting, he was warm and welcoming. He made all the guests feel comfortable with his safe and careful driving. He allowed us all more than enough time at each stop to enjoy all that was on offer. Kruno entertained us all with interesting stories and history on Croatia and Bosnia sharing his knowledge on all the areas we visited plus more. Even though we were only in Bosnia for a day, with this tour and all the villages you visit, you will feel as if you've emerged yourself in the country. Kruno points out the "local" things you can do; eat and drink so that you get the full experience. The drive was amazing with lots of beautiful scenery ... the Dalmation Coast and beautiful Bosnian countryside - vineyards, mountains and valleys. Mostar is a fascinating town to visit! 5 stars!
We are so thrilled with the tour we had on this day trip! We managed to do so much & gave us a good introduction to this country! We started with Kervica waterfalls, then made our way to Medjugorje. Then to our highlight of the tour Mostar! The drive was breathtaking. We had lot of time to enjoy a walking tour, lunch etc in Mostar. Silvia our tour guide was fabulous! The driver took good care of us. Hotel pick up was also included. Highly recommended & a must do from Dubrovnik!
We had a very good day, although the transportation was a mini bus that was full and not really comfortable for people with long legs. The guide was highly informative and told us nice stories about the country and the towns and the stops along the way were very interesting. We recommend going to the religious place Medjugorje.
We enjoyed our day trip to Bosnia Herzegovina. The itinerary was good and the border crossings not too long. Our main problem was that it was quite hot and the buses air conditioning could not keep up. This made much of the ride and the stops at the border crossing very uncomfortable.
