Full description
Start your day trip with a pickup from your hotel in Marrakech in an air-conditioned minivan. Enjoy the views as you travel, listening to fascinating facts about the Ouzoud Falls from your guide along the way. Hear about how the name translates as "grinding grain" in the Berber language, and the natural fall's ranking as the highest in North Africa.

You could almost forget you're in a desert country once you see these stunning waterfalls. It's a bit of a trek from top to bottom, but a great way to fully experience this wonderful site. You might even catch a glimpse of a macaque monkey among the trees. Upon arrival at the bottom, meet your professional and knowledge guide and embark on a walking tour of about 1 hour along the path to the lip of the falls.

Then, behold the tiered cascades that tumble from different heights down into a natural amphitheater of red-colored rock cliffs. Listen to the roar of the cascades as you snap some photos. Keep your eyes peeled for the Barbary apes who often congregate near the water, or one of the shimmering rainbows that form in the mist.

Visit several view points, walk down the steps to the base, and explore the caves where water mills are used to grind wheat grain into flower. Head to one of the restaurants located along the path, all offering panoramic views of the falls. Relax over an authentic lunch, including salad, berber tagine, couscous, or barbecue, and dessert and drinks. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel in Marrakech.
