What people are saying about Malaga

I thought it was a great day trip and well worth it!

My wife & I really enjoyed this day tour. It was fun & enlightening! We saw lots of not so great reviews so were skeptical but honestly I don't know what people expect for the amount of money paid & the time it takes to get there & back...all in all we thought it was exceptionally well run & organized. If you are looking for free time to shop & wander the city on your own this is not the tour for you - it is a fast paced organized tour with no time to spend exploring on your own. TIP: take eros for the street hawkers...they are VERY persistent but if you know this going in & keep a good attitude its over soon enough and some of them have pretty cool stuff plus it gets cheaper the closer you get to leaving...My only negative comment would be when we got back to Spain we had to wait quite awhile at the port for our bus to take us back because the bus driver had driven to many hours earlier & we had to wait out his mandatory rest period - they had cold beer so it was all good!

Good quick visit (but long day) to Tangier

No issues there so I won't spend time on that. In Tangier we spent maybe 4 hours. Bus ride to the camels (you walk like 10 feet), bus ride to the old city, walk around to restaurant (food was fine), walk to carpet pitch (30 min in there), walk to medicine/Moroccan oil pitch (30 min in there), walk back to bus to take to ferry. The carpet place was annoying if you don't want one, but again it's 30 minutes. I actually found the medicine/oil pitch fun and didn't mind it. The best advice I can give is that if you want souvenirs (like magnets, postcards) buy them from the people on the street you pass walking. You won't get another chance. Have your money out and ready so you won't get left behind! The bus on the way back made us wait almost 2 hours because the driver had to rest (mandated) before he could drive again. This could have easily been solved by having 2 drivers. It's crazy they made us wait on the street for hours because they wouldn't pay another person.

We had the best time and food with Elena our guide.

This was a fantastic tour. Not only did we learn alot about Spanish Tapas, Wine and Beer but we learned about Malaga and how the people love it. Elena was extremely knowledgeable and loved to talk about her home. She made you want to stay. The Tapa bars we went to were great. Elena taught us about different types of tapas. We ate fantastic ham, the white anchovies, shrimp and other tapa dishes. The atmosphere at the tapa bars were each unique and added to the learning. Elena also shared about the history of Malaga. She answered all our questions which was great. Since there was only her and my husband and I the tour was very informal. I could not have asked for a better tour or day. Thank you.

A fantastic afternoon spent tasting tapas with a wonderful guide

I booked this tour for our family party of seven, all different ages and different tastes to try and learn a little bit more about the Spanish food culture. Our guide Simone certainly did that. She was fantastic, taking us to the Market (which was amazing) and small hidden tapas bars and restaurants that we never would have found or ventured in to on our own. Simone expressed her love for Spanish culture and transmitted this passionately. We all agreed the afternoon in Malaga was one of the highlights of our visit to the Costa del Sol and would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Simone.

Those who wanted to have fun, entertainment and exotic things take it!

Honestly, It takes too much time checking passports and other documents once onboard by the Morocco authorities, but I guess there isn't another way to do it. Many people on my trip, has to wait long time to have their docs. stamped even when the ferry was at port and many left already like me. Too many persons equals too much time the inspection. On the other hand, the return was okay and they easest the necessary immigration control.
