Macarena was a fabulous guide who knew all the artwork very well. She was great at explaining how to view and understand the art and the artists. She was very passionate and enthusiastic and taught me a lot about the art at Prado. Prado Museum is fantastic and definitely worth the visit.

Must consider if it’s your first visit

The guide was really knowledgeable and skipped through the museum to show us the highlight pieces...she focused mainly on Spanish artist and some Italian ones. It is a good idea it it’s your first visit as the museum is huge. The tour took almost 2 hours or a bit less. You can stamp your ticket if you like to go out to refresh or eat and come back the same day to see the other galeries. I personally, skipped as it was my first time in Madrid and only day to go to other attractions:)
