What people are saying about Lisse
We only had one day in Holland, so no choice of which day to go, but obviously on a sunny weekend day you can expect it to be packed. I have never seen so many tour busses in one place. We took the direct bus from the train station in Leiden and it worked out great. Despite the crowds we were able to take many beautiful pictures. I was worried that the tulips would be finished at the end of April, but they use succession planting with later flowering varieties, so there was still lots to see. I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks, as these seemed overpriced.
We saw beautiful displays of tulips of all colors and combinations that you could imagine. Flowers of all kinds every where.Although there were lots of people it was calming and peaceful. We had really wonderful day . All senses overload ,with all the displays to see , wonderfull fragrances in the air.,it was a real treat.
We loved it here. This place is very impressively done. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. Additionally, there is food, restrooms, and other activities to do around every corner. I’m so glad we chose to go here. The skip the line was awesome because the day we went was extremely busy. We had zero wait time to get in.
The food was interesting restaurants not too crowded for reasonable service, the colors were spectacular, and the I.d. signs on the flower specimens were very good. The art styles were interesting and the flower smells were not overwhelming. Thanks for a wonderful day!
This place is amazing and it is unbelievable how busy it gets during holiday periods especially. It is absolutely worth visiting though. If you enter through the extra entrance it is not necessary to get skip the line tickets.
