Went on this Speyside Whisky Trail with my 3 sons (25, 29 and 30yrs old) after several years of dreaming and the dream came true. We had Keith as driver/guide and he was very nice, good knowledge both of whisky, distilleries, history and the geography. And last but not least had a good sense of humour. We joined a nice an "friendly group" of 12 as advertised and made good friends during the tour. This was a really great tour for me and my sons and created memories to treasure, we really recommend it both for whisky-lovers and future wannabe whisky-lovers. The distillery tours with tasting was great, some of the stop were perhaps a wee bit too short but we only had 3 days so that is in a way understandable. The accommodation in Ardconnel House B&B in Granton on Spey was wonderful, with great hosts. We cant wait until next opportunity to make another tour in the region with Rabbies tours this and perhaps could that also incl some odd gin distillery and Ale brewery as a complement.
Our guide, MacKenzie, made the trip! He kept us entertained the entire time we were on the bus, whether he was recounting a bit of history, passing on some folklore or playing Scottish music and singing along. We had a terrific time touring a uniquely beautiful part of the world. I recommend this tour for all adults, whiskey drinker or not. And the overnight accommodations were incredible.
Stayed at Travel Lodge night before right across the street from boarding. A well run trip. Pete was an excellent resource & knowledgeable on the area of Speyside as well as on the scotch. Ardconnel B&B was superb, friendly accommodating host and hostess (Tom & Franciose). I would recommend a Rabbies Tour for anyone.
Great tour. B&B in Grantown-on-Spey was very nice (Rossmor) with great breakfasts. We sat out the last distillery tour as after 2 they become a trifle monotonous. In spite of our sitting out the last tour they all were well done well and informative.
