What people are saying about Khao Lak
Excellent day out, very informative and enjoyable tour
The started off with a tour around a local market, viewing the stalls selling various exotic fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices. Then a short walk through the town to a local temple where our guide Nan explained about the various alters that we left offerings at. The second temple was a short drive out of town near to the coast. We then visited the turtle sanctuary and saw a number of rescued turtles being nurtured back to full heath. Lunch was at a local restaurant, and I must say it was probably the BEST Pad Thai that I have eaten. After lunch we were taken to a waterfall in the national park. Over all an informative, enjoyable day was had by all. Nan the tour guide was very friendly and easy to chat to about all aspects of Thailand life. Would definitely recommend this trip.
Great tour, great guide - everything sorted for you
Had the best time on this tour. No one else booked in that day so we had it all to ourselves and we were the first tour group to arrive at each location which was amazing and often a very rare experience. Our tour guide ‘Run’ was super helpful and provided a lot of insights for everywhere we went. His energy and enthusiasm made the day what it was. Our only criticism was that the provided lunch at the restaurant- although there was lots to choose from it may have made us sick the next day. Apart from that I can highly recommend this tour to anyone in the Khao Lak area it is great value for money and a really wonderful day
Excellent Tour, but initially they forgot to pick us up!!!
The tour in itself was excellent, however getting to the tour was quite a challenge in that they forgot to pick us up at our hotel! I even had called the previous day to confirm with rhem@ Therefore, I called and they said that they would send a taxi without a full apology. We waited a half an hour. Once we got there, the tour was splendid, as we were able to make food, feed, bathe, and play with the elephants. However, we were not given t-shirts like it said in the description, as it would have been nice to have one as a memory of our time there.
A wonderful trip with the best guide ever !
Aey was a wonderful guide. On the way she told us a lot about Thailand and she kindly answered all questions. The top on this day was the elephant bathing. It was a pleasure to see how the animals are kept. No chains, no cages, they see elephants as their friends. We had a bath with 7 year old elephant "girl" DeeDee. It was such a pleasure to see her acting in the water and beeing happy :-)
Not wow & excellent but overall was good
Trip stated viewpoint of phi phi but due to possibility of rain the guide chose not to go up to viewpoint. Should have stated the possibility of changes due to weather. If that's the case we would have booked with any other tours. Was the viewpoint that makes us want to book this tour. Anyway the crew made the trip more enjoyable.
