What people are saying about Incheon
From the meet-up time to the drop-off time, the tour was very tightly organized. The tour guide gave us most of the information on the bus rides to each location, sometimes supplementing with additional details once we were there, but we were allowed to look around by ourselves for around 25 min at the Dora Observatory, Freedom Bridge, and Dorasan Station and around 1 hr at the Third Tunnel. The time definitely felt a little short, but every tour got the same amount of time, so it wasn't really up to our tour guide's control. Overall the tour was informative and covered a lot of locations for just half a day, but I do wish we got a little more in-depth explanations at each of the locations.
The tour guide was phenomenal. She provided information that was both historic and anecdotal, while remaining in good humour. The departure and arrival times for all stops were punctual. I would definitely recommend the half day. We saw everything at a good pace and felt as though we certainly experienced the main sites.
Fantastic multilingual guide who spoke English and Japanese (and Korean, of course). She wove in her own experience of speaking directly with defectors which enriched the experience. I felt that I understood a bit more about the history of the North and South, that it was an ongoing situation and very current.
The tour was decent overall, with many of the limitations not being a product of the tiur company but rather safety and the companies dealing with the mass of tourists. I did the half day trip and I think that was good value, both in time and money. The tour guide Jenny was also really nice
This tour was unlike any tourism opportunity I have ever had. Being able to speak face-to-face with a North Korean defector about his experience while touring the DMZ is an educational and emotional experience. I think any citizen of a free country has a lot to gain from this tour.
