- Many Egyptians head to Hurghada for holiday in the summer, and to avoid the more unbearable heat in the larger cities. Try to avoid June, July and August. Hurghada will still be plenty warm for most tourists in the off-season.

What people are saying about Hurghada
The local operator contacted me prior via WhatsApp message - as with all my other excersions booked through this company to confirm pick up time from my hotel. Take a scalf & sunglasses or goggles for Quads, or you will have to hire them for a few Euros. End of Aug is hot so you don’t need a winter scalf, just something to cover your head & face. My family of 5 were picked up in a small van on time at approx 11:30am from our Hurghada hotel. Drove for approx 15 mins to pick up 2 other passengers. Our transfer to the Quad Biking desert area took approx a further 20 mins. There is a water machine for free cold water. You pay for soft drinks. First we did the sand buggy for approx 20 mins then we did Quad Bike for approx 45 mins. Both very easy to operate. Then they took us across the desert in the van to Bedouin Village, did camel ride & the guide tells you about Bedouin way of life. Returned for nice BBQ feast & evening entertainment before drop off back at our hotel. All well organised.
What a fantastic day. We knew it was going to be a long one but from the start of the journey we knew we were going to have a good day. Amir our guide was amazing, fantastically knowledgable and made us fall in love with Egypt and its history even more. The sun was brutal so be prepared but Amir was really attentive to this and ensured we constantly had freezing water. The places of history were breathtaking I am so so glad we booked before leaving for home.Amir’s knowledge made the day really enjoyable and it was so powerful to be so close to the ancient artefacts that we are all aware of. The trip down the Nile was incredible and the food in the restaurant lovely. From start to finish we were looked after so well and we couldn’t have wished for any more.Thank you Amir& the driver of the coach for supporting such a long long day ( 16 hours in total) and all the other individuals we came into contact with. We told lots of people on our return to hotel about the day. Thank you
The itinerary is very nice, you will have time to do 2 snorkel sessions, swimming on the island, sunbathing and a lovely lunch on the boat with free drinks. They will take photos and movie for an extra charge. However we had a very big problem with our departures. We waited for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes for our departure, because as per the crew a family was 2 hours late. We were not able to find out the true and however this was not our problem whose fault was. The crew was reluctant to depart without those 3 guest and only after our second argument when we said that we will get off the ship they decided to leave the port and the other guests were brought on the ship 20 minutes later by a fast boat. They decided to give us a free banana ride which meant that you had to sit on the boat for an extra hour even if you did not want to ride the banana and you had a booking for your dinner. Nice and helpful crew. Very bad management...
We went on Safari in Dubai, so firstly we were sceptic to do it again. But we were so wrong, because Hurghada Safari is totally different. An activity that will fill up your day, with lots of things to see and do. I could not complain about anything, food was tasty, well organised tour, on time with few 5-10 minutes delays. The only thing I did not like is they charge you extra for the sand goggles 2 euro/person for the ATV and dune buggy experience. Better they should include in the price this charge because without you can not drive and it is not very nice to charge it like this. Nothing else to complain. Show is excellent, guides, the employees.
up at 03:00. Back at the hotel at 00:30. longest day of my life but the pyramids were fantastic. I don't want to go to the papyrus shop or a perfumery. and this all added to the length of the day. we also spent nearly 3 hours in the airport waiting for our flight. The guide was very good (even if I don't believe that they were tombs). But with a bit more planning and a bit less crap shops that NONE of us wanted to go to this day could have been amazing. It still was great but slightly tainted but being ferried in to shops.
