What people are saying about Hoboken
Of the many excursions we did over our four-day stay in New York, this was the best value. The ship ideal for the type of excursion we took (2 hours close to shore) - large enough to tackle the current and tides, but small enough to be able to take advantage of the variety of angles of views of the various landmarks. And it was in good condition with welcoming Christmas decorations. Staff were very friendly and approachable, and accommodated every request. The food was of a good standard with a wide range of options - not Celebrity Cruise standard but good enough to feel you were getting good value for money. The route around the harbour took great advantage for photos of the Statue of Liberty and of the Manhattan skyline, and the seating arrangement allowed for free movement around the ship to snap the best shots. The disco was fun for those who participated and the music was listenable for all generations.
The cruise was wonderful. Great food, music and service. My children and grandchildren really enjoyed themselves. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. The only drawback was it was not handicap accessible as I was told. They had a wheelchair to take my sister to the boat and up the ramp, but there was a flight of stairs she had to go down. No elevator - they offered to carry her down stairs but that made her too nervous. She was able to walk down very slowly but it was hard for her. When I booked cruise I asked about stairs and was told once on board she would be on correct deck for dining. It is imperative that people know there are stairs.
It was a chilly wet night at first, but cleared up when we got going. It was chilly throughout after, but having said that we had a great time. Party atmosphere and full of great New Yorkers, showing us how to party ! Service very good, and food great too. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and would recommend. They can't help the weather !
Incredible views from the water of downtown sky scrapers and going under Brooklyn bridge gave me wonderful pictures. Food was good and the boat and passengers had a real fun festive mood. A young man got down on one knee and proposed to his sweet heart, where upon everyone who noticed it cheered and clapped!! So sweet and romantic!
What a great cruise!! Buffett was awesome and the the atmosphere was great! I recommend this cruise to anyone that is looking for great entertainment food and great scenery of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.
