Important information
Know before you go
• Hobart is well known for its glorious range of weather conditions, often on the same day, so please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly
• For hot sunny days: hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and a water bottle are recommended
• Rain is not usually an issue as Hobart is the second driest city in Australia. When it does rain, it’s often in short showers which can be managed with undercover stops. A rain jacket or umbrella is a good option just in case.
• Particularly with the afternoon tours, the temperature can drop toward evening so a jumper or jacket is recommended even if it’s quite warm to begin with. Generally a nice southerly breeze springs up to surprise the unwary, so a light windproof is useful
• Comfortable walking shoes are essential
• Tours will go ahead regardless of the weather

We were in Hobart for a few days and decided not to go to the unusual museum so went looking for another activity. We booked the Hobart Cafe Culture Tour and absolutely loved it. Our tour guide had great knowledge and shared it with us, as expected. From the moment we met her she really impressed us for many reasons, and made an interesting experience even more enjoyable. We had absolutely wonderful coffee and lunch, a hand made chocolate, a perfectly made cup of coffee, made to our taste, a sourdough donut (which we had never had before) and ended with a lovely bottle of Tasmanian apple juice. We told every one we met how great it was and can only hope some people were encouraged to participate as well. Thank you for a wonderful, enjoyable, fun experience. Well done. We would encourae every one to go.

Really informative and interactive way to see Hobart town - recommend

We love doing local tours when travelling. We find it helps us connect with the local people and local culture. Robyn was a great tour guide she was friendly and passionate about both coffee and local cafe culture of Hobart. She had done extensive research and gave us a great historical insight with pictures that allowed us to go back In time understand different aspects of Hobart. She then provided contemporary information and made us really think about where we may choose to drink coffee in the future. We advice you don’t drink coffee before the tour. Thanks for a great morning Robyn - Jenny and Justine
