Full description
Extensive 2-hour walking tour from Hobart’s famous waterfront along to Salamanca Place. The focus is on the history of Hobart's colonial days and the fascinating role alcohol consumption played. This tour includes Tasmanian wine, whisky, vodka and cider tastings and information about local products.

The tour begins where life began in Hobart, along the waterfront. This tour follows the original and current waterfront, into what was the working class area of town in the early years, passing the oldest hotel establishment in Australia. On to the first single malt whisky company in Australia to quench the thirst after hearing of the hard work everyone went to for their alcohol through the years.

The tour leads into Brooke Street Pier, a very impressive building on the waterfront for the most unique tasting experience that you will encounter while on your journey in Hobart - sheeps milk vodka. The tour concludes in Historic Salamanca to see the inside of one of the original warehouses, settle into a comfy couch and enjoy the last tasting as you relax and think about all that you have learnt.
