What people are saying about Heraklion
It was an excellent morning. Ideal for complete beginners, families and children. They show you how to ride and hold your horse throughout if you'd like. The pace of the ride is very slow and the route is safe. If you are a seasoned rider, just sit back and enjoy the scenery. It's more about seeing the countryside than the ride. At the end there is an opportunity to gallop briefly. Gregori and his family are the most welcoming and generous I have ever seen. The lunch is huge so come hungry. They can accommodate dietary requirements. Products are locally grown / sourced. Wine and spirits are included in the lunch. Gregori takes pictures during the ride which he prints on photo paper and you can purchase at the end.
Nicky our guide was excellent. The pace of the visit was just right. Her level of knowledge was superb and she made it come alive for us. She gave us the right amount of information and was always willing to answer questions. The tour was very well organised. My only disappointment is that there were many people and the small bus was virtually full so no possibility of social distancing.
We had a wonderful day out in crete. We were picked up exactly on time and we drove to the plateau. The driver/ guide drove very considered while at the same time telling about Crete, the people and history. We visited the impressive caves after a nice climb. Afterwards we went to the wine tasting. It seemed to me a rather long drive. But the winery was worth it.
Very nice walking tour in Heraklion. We did several stops at interesting or beautiful places. The food was delicious and there was plenty of wine and raki. Our guide Papatya was great. Very talkative and full of interesting facts and stories. Definitely recomend if you want to learn a bit of Heraklion.
A bit on the expensive side, but totally worth it. Very insightful explanations and thought-provoking comments that make the whole experience in the historic site a whole more meaningful, allowing you to look way beyond what your eyes can see
