Full description
Your first stop will be in Braga, a city known by its heritage and religious events as one of the oldest cities in Portugal and one of the oldest Christian cities in the world. Being a religious city, it is mandatory to visit the Triangle of Faith Cathedral, and the Sanctuaries of Bom Jesus and Sameiro.

Braga's cathedral is characterized by the different architectural styles, including Roman, Manueline and Baroque. It is considered a center of episcopal irradiation, and is one of the most important Romanesque temples in the country.
The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus is famous for its endless stairs and Baroque details, and above being a religious monument is also a truly romantic and relaxing place complete with stunning views of the city. The Sanctuary of Sameiro is known for being Catholic, but is also very famous for it's architecture.

Before you depart to Guimarães, you will take a short break in the historical center of Braga where you can enjoy a tasty and traditional lunch. Guimarães is where the first King of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques, was born. The history of Guimarães is related to the foundation of the national identity and the Portuguese language.
