Our guide Cam combined an introduction to the Whiskies of Great Britain with a little bit of background on the city of Glasgow, very interesting for us as first time visitors. The selected locations were very nice and the tour opened with the tasting of a well rounded and very palatable drink, then we had more special ones. Cam knows his stuff and answered all questions from the group in detail. Even my wife, who had just tagged along liked it a lot. Definetely a recommended tour!
Cam is a fantastic guide. His tour is a crash course on whiskey appreciation. It would be good to take Cam's tour before visiting distilleries in the various regions of Scotland. You learn the differences of the regions and how to appreciate those differences. The bars we visited are really nice, too. Highly recommend!
As an Oasis fan, the main part of the tour for me was King Tuts but the rest of the tour was equally interesting with some historic venues and funny stories. The guide was very good and it was clear to see she enjoys what she does and has a passion for music and the city.
Sam was our host and he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He definitely made the whisky tour a memorable one. The various whiskies we sampled were good and enhanced the learning experience. We both thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thanks Sam.
Mother Nature was kind to us, especially while on Iona. A simply glorious, sunny day! Wonderful for beachcombing and walking. Glencoe was dreich (!) and eerie, but awesome nevertheless. I will be back...
