The best way to explore Glasgow is on foot. You'd be hard-pressed to get lost in the grid-like system of its streets, so our advice is to grab a map and set out sightseeing. You can even grab a bus tour to get your bearings at the start of your trip.

What people are saying about Glasgow
Despite growing up in Ayrshire it had been a long time since my sister had spent time in Glasgow The red bus is an excellent way to see the city. We visited the peoples Palace which was excellent and brought back memories. Disappointed that the conservatory was closed. We also visited the Kelvin Grove Gallery could have spent all day here. We will take the bus again as we would like to visit the transport museum and the science centre and also Byres road. Time was against us. Recommend for old hands and new visitors
The bus was comfortable, and the commentary extremely useful. We would have preferred for it to run later than 4:30, but I suppose if the demand isn't there... We were able to do the full tour, making notes of what we wanted to see, and then hop on and off to maximise our experience. Great value at £15 for 2 days for us old codgers.
Booking process was simplistic even when I had to re-schedule. On the day our guide Sam was very knowledgable and professional contributing to a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend this whisky tasting experience.
Mother Nature was kind to us, especially while on Iona. A simply glorious, sunny day! Wonderful for beachcombing and walking. Glencoe was dreich (!) and eerie, but awesome nevertheless. I will be back...
I'd also like to thank the driver Dougie, who was most helpful to us in explaining where the last stop of the day was and how to use the tickets.
