What people are saying about Gibraltar
We were picked up form the city center in Malaga. The trip to Gibraltar took a few hours. After passing customs we had some free time to explore the city which is very British looking (what I did not expect). We almost got lost on the way back to the meeting point so remember your way! We then took a local tour with a minibus to the main sights there (the europe point, the caves). the guide was very funny and relaxed - former military. Afterwards some more time for shopping/eating/sightseeing and then travelling back. Travel time was about 6 hours (3 to and 3 back), the tour was also about 3 hours long.
Everything started excellent with a great travel guide Ricardo, wonderful conditions for transport with excellent bus and good driver but in Gibraltar we had a problem to understand what local guide speak and we lost most important informations from this reason. Otherwise ,everything wad excellent but I would like not to be in such big hurry in Gibraltar Rock tour ....20 minutes in visit to cave and 5 minutes break for monkeys never seen by us. Congratulations for Ricardo ,spanish guide from Malaga and transport company for car and profesional services.
Our party of nine adults had a busy but very enjoyable day on the rock. Time was allocated for shopping before and after the rock tour, although the time after was curtailed somewhat due to the rock tour over-running. The rock tour itself was great, especially seeing the monkeys. Our guide was very courteous and provided some well received comedic moments. Overall, everyone enjoyed the day and returned happily to Spain with their many purchases.
I had missed the bus on 19/03/2016 and the booking consultant offered to give me an alternative date which was the 21/03/2016. I was very grateful for this. The tour was perfect; the guides explained important areas of the tour in detail. The driver/guide in Gibraltar, particularly, was so hilarious he kept us in stitches with his jokes. He said his name was "Jesus".
The tour was well coordinated and the guides seemed well informed. After 2 hours for shopping, just 2 hours for the sight seeing is too short. Need more time to explore the cave. Cable car ride can be an optional item. Breakfast halt at a rather dirty road side restaurant can be avoided since the cafes in Gibraltar are much better.
