Full description
Discover the architectural wonders of the Florence Cathedral, the Baptistery, and the Bell Tower on a 1.5-hour guided tour of the Duomo complex. Afterwards, you can use your ticket to enter Santa Reparata's crypt and climb up to the magnificent Giotto's Bell Tower to enjoy the most amazing views of the city.

With an art historian as your guide you’ll begin your tour at the 11th-century Baptistery of San Giovanni, one of the oldest buildings in Florence, which features the famous Gates of Paradise by Lorenzo Ghiberti.

Admire Giotto's elegant Bell Tower and then visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, dominated by the majestic dome by Brunelleschi. Marvel at the magnificent frescoes by the workshop of Giorgio Vasari.

Learn the secrets of Brunelleschi’s celebrated Dome, the largest masonry construction ever built and one of the city's icons. Inside the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and the third largest church in the world, admire the beautiful frescoes by Vasari and Zuccari adorning the inside of the Dome, one of the world's most important stained glass window cycles created by the greatest artists of the early Renaissance and magnificent works by Baccio Bandinelli, Benedetto da Maiano, Luca Della Robbia, Lorenzo Ghiberti, Andrea Del Castagno and many others.

Visit the Crypt below the Cathedral to take a step back into the late VI century and uncover the mysteries of the early Christian Church of Santa Reparata, where we'll also see the tomb of the great architect, Filippo Brunelleschi.

After a short break to take some pictures and enjoy a refreshment in one of the many coffee or gelato shops on the square, visit the spectacular “Opera del Duomo” Museum. The greatest treasures from the monuments of the great Cathedral Complex are all carefully housed in this incredible Museum, in an amazing scenic setting.
See a life-sized reconstruction of the Cathedral as it was in the times of Dante Alighieri, as well as the sculptures of Arnolfo di Cambio, Donatello and Nanni di Banco. View the original doors of the Baptistery, including the gilded Gates to Paradise done by Lorenzo Ghiberti. Experience the Pietà del Duomo sculpted by Michelangelo and the Penitent Magdalene by Donatello. Admire the beauty of the Altar of St. John, a stupendous silver masterpiece, and the other magnificent works of art done by the greatest medieval and renaissance artists of Florence.

Those who so desire may climb up to the panoramic terrace to admire the grandiose Dome from close up.

The excellent guide Maria presented us with new and interesting information about the complex. Very safe and didactic in the placements. The guide is to be congratulated. However, the company left something to be desired when it failed to offer us the cheese and wine tasting that was described in the reservation; the guide, moreover, did not even know what it was about. At this point, unfortunately, we feel cheated.

Our guide was fascinating, another unforgettable moment!

The visit allowed to discover the baptistery, the Duomo church and the museum: the explanations are extremely interesting and the visit well constructed. The Christian process between baptism and arrival in the Church is well described both chronologically and spiritually. Finally, the arrival in the main hall of the museum with the doors and the old statues on the facade is striking!
