Full description
Go off the beaten track to sample delicious food and drinks, which are provided by local businesses to highlight the rich cultural history on the East Coast of Scotland. Do not trudge the streets in the rain and instead, enjoy being driven in a luxury coach to sample local food and drink, while learning about the history of Scotland. After leaving Edinburgh, your first stop will be at Forth Bridges for a photo opportunity of these three magnificent bridges, which connect Edinburgh to Fife.

Head to Cheese House Farm. This local family run business has been in the East Neuk of Fife since the 1930s and started to make cheese ten years ago. Enjoy samples of award-winning cheeses and a glass of wine or cup of tea or coffee. Listen to a short talk on cheese and farming then watch cheesemaking from the viewing gallery. On a clear day, you can sit outside the coffee shop on the balcony and enjoy the panoramic views down across the fields towards the Firth of Forth and beyond.

The next stop is at Ovenstone Brewery, a brand-new microbrewery in the East Neuk of Fife. Meet the team who make the craft beer and enjoy tasting an up and coming brand that you can tell your friends and family you were amongst the first to try. On the way to the next stop, enjoy a scenic tour of St Andrews with a photo stop down by the golf course.

The Balgrove Larder Farm House has become a hub for top notch locally reared, grown, stalked, caught, handmade, and prepared foods. Scotland is home to some of the world’s best beef, game, seafood, and produce and instead of seeing this shipped to the far corners of the globe, Balgove keeps it on home turf. Everything they raise and grow on the farm ends up in the shop. Enjoy a 30-minute tour and a tasting board in the Steak Barn or Café.

Your final stop is at Kings Barns Distillery. Discover how the founder of the Kingsbarns Distillery was inspired to build a distillery while working as a gold caddie at the neighbouring Kingsbarns Gold Links. Here, choose a whiskey or gin tour and tasting. After a full day of sampling and learning about local produce in the East of Scotland, enjoy a scenic journey back to Edinburgh.
