Full description
Head to the Smoke Stack nestled in the heart of Edinburgh where an immersive evening of Scottish food and culture awaits. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome glass as you meet and mingle with your fellow foodies then take a seat at the large communal table, which encourages interaction throughout the experience.

After a short intro from your friendly host, an impressive 4-course sampling menu is served with a selection of Scottish delicacies and local produce. Dine on smoked salmon, haggis, Scotch rump steak, and the classic Scottish dessert, cranachan. Rest assured, unlike some sampling menus there will be plenty of food on offer and you will not leave hungry.

Each course will be matched with wine and a Scottish beer from the West Brewery. Listen to your guide provide information about the drinks then vote on which one you think is the best match for each course. The votes will be collated and a winner announced at the end of the meal.

Between courses, your host shares fascinating tales of Edinburgh and Scotland, as well a Scots dialect performance of an excerpt from Burns' legendary "Address To A Haggis". After dinner, enjoy a hot cup of coffee accompanied by Scottish chocolates. The evening ends with a whiskey tasting session of 3 different styles of whiskey from the Lowlands, Highlands, and the Islands. The host will explain how to identify the different tastes and explain the reasons for this.
