What people are saying about Dubrovnik

Beautiful tour, but wish Croatian guide was better

PROS: - The pickup was on time and the coach was comfortable. Our local Montenegrin guide Slavica was excellent; she was extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything patiently and thoroughly at Our Lady of the Rocks and Kotor. - The sights were beautiful; the scenery in Montenegro is unlike any we've seen. CONS: - Our Croatian tour guide (who was in charge while we were inside the coach) Marinara was constantly on edge and rushed, and did not allow us to have a relaxed tour at all. She was very loudly chatting with the coach driver constantly—literally NON-STOP throughout the several hours we spent in the coach, both to and from—and this made it impossible for any of us to relax and enjoy. On the way back, everyone was tired and wanted to take a nap before we reached Dubrovnik, but Marinara's incessant loud talking made that impossible. Also, whenever we asked her for any information, she did not reply properly. - The coach driver didn't drive smoothly at all.

Awesome ways to see the beautiful Bosnian countryside

The tour itself and the guide were both excellent. The sights you visit are stunning and really worth the trip through the no-so-fun borders. The waterfalls at Kravice are simply spectacular. Shame you don't get to spend longer there. The downside of the trip is that the organisation of pick-up locations is very confusing and you spend the early hours of the day (6.40am pick-up time!) asking random people if they are either on the same tour as you or if they are the right guide (as there are loads of guides milling about the Pile Gate all doing the same sort of tours in various languages for various companies. Clearer information well ahead of your trip would be much better but they only send details around 24 hours beforehand so you have to keep an eye on your emails during your holiday. However, once your on the coach / minibus it's worth it.

Good Tour, Driver and Guide shame about the Border Crossing

The Tour was lovely. The driver picked us up promptly and we were driven to the first of stop in Perast, then we meet our guide who took us on a boat ride across to the island with a church and Museum (Our Lady of the Rocks). We then proceeded on Boat to Kotor Town and our guide gave use a brief tour before we had a few hours to explore the town. Our guide was friendly and helpful and very very chatty. We were then picked up by the driver and when we reached the border check point it took two hours. This was no fault of the driver just politics and lazy officials so can't fault this tour. Good to see another country and would recommend but make sure you have plenty of time to get back in case you get stuck at the border like us.

Adam is the secret highlight of the tour

We had the pleasure of seeing Mostar and Kravica Waterfalls via Laus Tours. The pick up was uncomplicated and well communicated and the minivan was just big enough to allow for the group to get to know each other. There was plenty of time in both places to roam around and see all your heart desired. The highlight of the tour however was our guide Adam. God knows how he comes up with his jokes but he made the whole bus belly laugh throughout. No matter what topic you throw at him, he’ll have something to say about it - and it’s always well researched. A walking encyclopaedia/stand up comedian, we would take any tour anywhere as long as it’s led by this little legend. Highly recommended!

A lovely intro to Montenegro with knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide

This tour was great for some of the highlights of Montenegro. We discovered that there is a lot more to see and the tour has inspired us to return in the future. It was well organised though a long day, but I don't think it could have been any shorted due to everything we fitted in. Our guide was great: informative, interesting and enthusiastic. She had good recommendations and engaged with everyone on the tour. I would advise anyone on this tour to bring a swimsuit and be aware that it is safe to leave things on the bus. Bring something to occupy your time at the border crossing and also wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
