Unlike anywhere in the Middle East, the Dubai Marina is a district where you can purchase all of life’s pleasures. Upon the development’s completion, it will be the greatest man-made marina in the world with a two mile long waterfront.
There are various boutiques and high end storefronts scattered along the marina, but you can find all the brands you can think of concentrated in the überglam Dubai Marina Mall.
"Real estate is the business that created the Dubai Marina, so expect some of the finest -- and tallest -- hotels in the world.
Whether you fancy 5-star filet mignon, seafood on a cruiseship, Indian or Italian fare, the Dubai Marina has restaurants and cafes for everyone.
There are a variety of boat tours and relaxing cruises available along the Persian Gulf shore. Admiring the other fancy yachts and speedboats is half the fun.
Be sure to check out the tallest block on the western side that includes the famed Princess Tower, the tallest residential building in the world. You can’t miss it!

What people are saying about Dubai Marina
My fiancee and I had an awesome time on the 1.5 hr tour that took us from just north of Kite Beach past Burj Al Arab, Marina area and Palm Jumeirah up to Atlantis. Our guide took photos of us at the major sights and let us have a good amount of freedom to ride around, but warned us about restricted areas and speed enforcement areas so we didn't get fined. This would usually be too pricey for me, but I like to jet ski and thought it was a unique way to see the upscale hotels from the water and I don't regret it. My fiancee was hesitant and wasn't sure it'd be worth it, but she changed her mind and loved it. I recommend going as early in the day as possible (our tour was at 9am) so the UV index isn't too high. The water is nice and warm. All safety gear and bottled water is provided.
I had booked this trip from England, for my family and I. Amira our travel guide was fantastic speaking English and German, very impressive! We had a small tour of only 7 people so we felt very special. The shuttle picks you up from your hotel and drops you back there, which is perfect and so convenient. You see SO much, more or less of everything in Dubai, in such a short space of time. If you are in Dubai for a few days, it is great. Everything is explained in so much detail and you learn so much about how fantastic Dubai really is. Fantastic service and a fantastic activity. Thank you so much!
This is a good way to see both the old Dubai and the new (modern) Dubai in one day. There are 3 different routes that together cover Dubai. The commentary provides useful information on the history and culture of Dubai and the UAE. Note that together the three routes take about 6 hours to get through without jumping on and off. At unexpected times of the day there can be traffic on some of the routes. There was live English commentary on one of the buses along the red route.
It was a nice trip though a few points could still be improved. Info about meeting point could be more precise, i.e. Pier 7, by Exclusive Yachts stand/kiosk, as I haven't seen any red carpet, lounge or specific banner and thought I could be in the wrong place. Also, it was really hot and I could use the airconditioned lounge, never saw one. Otherwise all went fine.
Best to book the late afternoon or early morning slot as it is ROASTING during the mid-day. Sit in middle or the back of the boat unless your desperate to experience all the bumps and get soaked (we sat at the back). Great service from the experienced captain and deputy.
